  • Test in thermo-mechanical conditions specific to operating conditions of irradiated on non-irradiated material (Zr-2.5%Nb);
  • Studies on crack initiation and propagation under DHC conditions;
  • Assessment of the parameters specific to breaking mechanics;
  • Corrosion testing;
  • Database development: (Zr-2.5%Nb) alloy;
  • Finite elements analyses on components with crack type defects or blunt defect;
  • "Fitness-for-Service"-type of analyses, according to the methodology applied in the API 579 or BS 7910 standards;
  • "Fitness-for-Service"- type of assessments for the Fuel Channels, in accordance with the requirements of the Canadian Standard CSA CAN-N285.4-05 "Technical Requirements for In Service Evaluation of Zirconium Alloy Pressure Tubes in CANDU Reactors".
