General objectives
Establishment of localized corrosion
mechanisms which has as effect the deterioration of structural components of
NPS primary and secondary circuit.
Elaboration of some models that can predict
in time evolution of some localized corrosion type specific to exploitation
conditions of NPS circuits.
Establishment of some remedies that conduct
at the diminishing of localized corrosion of equipments from the nuclear
installations using some chemical additives or corrosion inhibitors.
The specific
objectives are:
Testing at the localized corrosion using
several testing methods of some structural materials in the specific working
conditions in nuclear station to identify the corrosion mechanisms.
Identifying the main physical-chemical
factors that can influence the localized corrosion behavior and especially SCC
with the aim to establish some measures (remedies) that diminish the negative
effects of this degradation type.
Use of more complementary physical-chemical
investigation methods to characterize more exacts the corrosion behavior of
several interesting structural materials.
