Objectives:
  • Research - development of electronic devices and gauges for measuring and monitoring nuclear radiation;
  • Software development for control process and data processing.
Activities:
  • Research, design, approval test and manufacturing of devices intended for use at Cernavoda NPP and TRIGA reactor, Pitesti for measurements and control;
  • Design and implementation of safety and control systems for nuclear and industrial process;
  • Design, approval test and fabrication of radiation detectors;
  • Research and development systems and equipments for radiation assessment and monitoring;
  • Nuclear and industrial technical application;
  • Technological and informational support for Cernavoda N.P.P.
Main achievements:
  • Measuring and control instrumentation for Cernavoda N.P.P.:
    Research, design, approval test, and equipment fabrication for power control system and no. 1 safety system for Cernavoda NPP:
    • Self-powered amplifier module for flux detectors- NM7024 ADFA and NIM -NM7028 device;
    • Dynamic compensator module;
    • Level and alarm command test module;
    • Isolation amplifier module;
    • Amplifier for ionization chamber TS 63740-007.
  • Safety and control systems for nuclear process:
    • Failed Fuel Location System (SLCD) BSI -63105 - Cernavoda NPP;
    • Radiation Monitoring of Heat Transport System (MRSTC) -BSI 63103 for Cernavoda NPP;
    • Ionization chamber amplifier with comparator trigger for killing the Cenavoda NPP reactor (TD 63740 and 68232);
    • Ionization chamber amplifier without comparator trigger for power adjustment system (TD 63740 007);
    • Safety and adjustment computerized system for C9 and C5 capsule for TRIGA reactor at SCN;
    • Dosimetry data acquisition system for inside buildings from CANDU and TRIGA reactor;
    • "Digital programmable comparator equipment" for reactor shutdown system (Programmable digital comparators PDC -BSI-68230 -1);
    • Fixed gamma are monitors -BSI 79-67873 -TS.
  • Radiation detectors:
    • Pressurized gamma ionization chamber CIG-P-321, for assessment of low-level gamma radiation;
    • Detection complex with cylindrical ionization chamber for gamma radiation sources assessment AD-A-01;
    • Assembly of detection with ionization dual spherical chamber of high sensitivity for measurement exposure flows of gamma radiation in the range 10nSV/h, 100mSv/h, AD - R - 00;
    • Ionization chamber with boron irretrievable with incorporated cable, CIBN - 422, for nuclear reactors control.
  • Systems and equipment for radiation assessment and monitoring:
    • ALFA contamination measurement device for fuel rods;
    • Personnel contamination measurement device;
    • Area contamination measurement device;
    • Monitory station of radiation in ambient medium SLM - 16G;

    • Dimensional determination system connected to metallographic microscope from Post Irradiation Examination Laboratory;
    • Dimensional determination system for welding sample in nuclear fuel production from F.C.N.- Pitesti;
    • Analyzer system for microbiological sample;
    • Survey system for closed areas;
    • Interactive training for operators of Cernavoda N.P.P.;
    • Neutronography film analyzer system;
    • Analyzer system for Service Inspection control of pressure tube for CNE Cernavoda;
    • GESTRAD - radioactive materials management system based on bar-code technique.

    • Control system using image acquisition and image processing of welding sample in fuel elements;

    • Acquisition and processing image system for medical and radiology applications;

    • Redundant safety system for the irradiation capsule;
    • Materials and radwaste management system with bar-codes;
    • Combined control, command and data acquisition system for post-irradiation non-destructive test of nuclear fuel;
    • Staff training system;
    • Monitoring system based on GIS system for medical applications;
    • Integrated system for interactive display and communication;
    • Integrated system for monitoring the polluting factors;
    • Real-time system for decisions taking in the evaluation of the emergency situations;
    • Monitoring system for medical field;
    • Informational system to process, data correlation and diagnosis in nuclear and civil protection;
    • Triphasic asynchronous engine protection;
    • Combined emitter-receiver laser with modulation, for industrial applications;
    • Flow measurement system for water-activated devices;
    • Flow measurements equipment for drinking and industrial water;
    • Monitoring centralized system for process parameters from hydro-power plants;
    • Data acquisition computing system for industrial installations;
    • Control system for commanding alarms in industrial installations.
