Quality Control

Objective:

To provide satisfaction of customers by products quality, equipments and services delivered by the Institute in accordance with the System of Quality Management, implemented in SCN-PITESTI as per forecast Standard ISO 9001:2000. Activities:

Dimensional control in all execution phases of materials, products and equipments (from reception until final control);
Functional tests;
Chemistry analyses and browning pieces control, eloxated, passivated;
Nondestructive examinations with:
- penetrating radiation;
- penetrating liquids.
Nondestructive examinations for:
- thickness ultrasounds control;
- tightness tests.

Certifications:

Activities of nondestructive examinations are authorized by ISCIR conformer PTCR5 - 2003.
Laboratory is representative by ISCIR for restoration of certification marker.

Main Achievements:

Equipments test for:
- CNE PROD CERNAVODA:
  - mechanisms for reactivity control;
  - detectors of vertical flux;
  - disks of breakage Calandria;
  - batteries of cooling LAC;
  - stainless steel cask /220 l for solid/liquid waste.
- CNE INVEST CERNAVODA:
  - fuel channels for Calandria;
  - drivers- mechanisms reactivity control;
  - assembly disks breakage Calandria;
  - LISS Calandria;
  - detectors of vertical and horizontal flux;
  - air breathing station.
- TITAN Nuclear Equipments S.A.:
  - cask of transportation type B.
- ROMAG PROD - Drobeta Turnu Serverin:
  - Cylinder D₂O.
- ROMENERGO PROD - BUCURESTI:
  - generator hull type 3162 LU for General Electric(USA).
