Activities:
- Documentation concerning the structural integrity methods and investigation techniques under the action of degradation factors, at normal operation;
- Set up of experimental methods for investigation and analysis of material properties necessary for structural integrity assessment.
- Stage II – Application of Experimental Investigation Methods and Procedures
Activities:
- Macrostructural analysis methods;
- Fracture Mechanics concepts application for crack initiation and propagation;
- Microstructural investigations;
- Data base elaboration.
- Stage III - Numeric simulation of nuclear components behavior
Activities:
- Applying of finite element method to simulate nuclear components behavior.
- Stage IV - Applications concerning the structural integrity assessment of different critical components in nuclear facilities
Activities:
- Structural integrity analysis procedures elaboration;
- Results dissemination using on-line virtual media (WEB sites ), workshops, national and international symposia and conferences.
