General objectives:
- Development of experimental techniques for characterization of non homogenous structures by electron spectroscopy:
- adequate preparation techniques of different type of samples;
- experimental strategy for different type of analysis
- adequate techniques for data processing
- Development of a Data Base including spectra, binding energies, chemical shift data, Auger parameters, necessary for nuclear materials evaluation by ESCA
Measurable objectives:
- Accreditation of Surface Analysis Laboratory as a Laboratory for nuclear materials evaluation by Electron Spectroscopy ESCA
- Elaboration of the procedures regarding analysis and evaluation of nuclear materials by ESCA;
Achievement of the objectives of the Project “ Licensed ESCA Laboratory as a Laboratory for nuclear materials evaluation by electron spectroscopy” is in compliance with the objectives and priorities of the program regarding:
- increase of quality and performances in testing analysis and control activity
- development of the experimentation and analysis laboratories
- increase of the number of accredited entities for the evaluation and the certification of conformity, corresponding to EU requirements and acknowledged at international level.
